Here are 6 facts about Zarges that you may not know
Walter Zarges first set up the company in Stuttgart, Germany in 1933. He had a dream to make day-to-day life easier with simple aluminium products. That’s nearly 90 years in the business!
2. It’s not just cases
As well as the famous aluminium cases, Zarges have been involved in the design and production of ladders, cable cars and faraday cages amongst many other innovative designs
3. Zarges built one of the largest terrestrial radio stations in the world
The Raisting Earth station in Germany was built by Zarges in 1984. It continues to be the largest satellite communications facility in Germany and one of the largest in the world.
4. Famous on the silver screen
Because of their sleek good looks, Zarges cases have appeared in a number of Hollywood movies, including ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, ‘The Da Vinci Code’, ‘Superman Man of Steel’ and ‘Die Another Day’.
5. Keeping the planes up in the air
Another exciting project for Zarges is in the aviation industry. Zarges produce maintenance repair and overhaul equipment for many of the major airlines. Without Zarges’ expertise, the planes wouldn’t leave the ground.
6. Award winners
Among other awards, Zarges won the prestigious innovation award at the Executive Hire Show for their unique telescopic scaffold tower, the ‘Teletower’.
